Caret, selection, and other editing features should work with vertical text.

Does this bug cover supporting input methods, or should that be a separate one? At least on Snow Leopard, AppKit supports input methods with vertical text.

But input method might be a big enough chunk that it could be a separate bug. I guess it doesn't really matter though as long as we can agree on one way or another.
