Summary alternate version of Acid2 test without data URLs fails
Frungi
Reported 2005-09-09 20:13:11 PDT
This test is linked by the webstandards.org Acid2 test's description as "a version without data URLs." The original looks perfect in WebKit 420, but this one looks awful. The Downloads window pops up empty, and the page loading freezes for a minute at "7 of 9 items (1 error)" with a red band replacing the face's eyes (see bug #3742). When it finishes, it says "There were 2 errors opening the page," and the face has eyes but the rest looks awful.

Reassigning bug to webkit-unassigned for more visibility.

The bug should be splited in my opinion in two bugs. 1) Incorrect download of 006 text/html file covered bug bug 17844 2) Red bar visible after reloading the Acid2 test.

Other issue visible in this test case is the yellow rectangle visible on the first load. The issue is caused by bug 5793. Check this minimal test case: http://bugs.webkit.org/attachment.cgi?id=19760

(In reply to comment #5) > 2) Red bar visible after reloading the Acid2 test. I think this is Bug 13693.

We don't consider acid2 to be a valid test at this point, many spec requirements have changed.
