Created attachment 474992 [details] Demonstration video While it is not possible to easily reproduce this with MiniBrowser because it does not have tab restoration like Epiphany, this problem is 100% reproducible on Epiphany 48.0 / WebKitGTK 2.48.1 (and older), on any of my computers, and on other people's computers. It happens on multiple different Internet connections at different locations, with IPv4 and IPv6, etc. This is specific to theconversation.com's website (no matter which regional variant it points you to, like /ca/ or /us/), and it does not happen with other web browsers (like Firefox), only Epiphany. Demonstration video attached. To reproduce this: 1. Launch Epiphany 2. Open a couple of tabs on theconversation.com and some of its articles, among your other tabs. Like this set of tabs, for example: A: https://webkit.org B: https://gnome.org C: https://theconversation.com D: https://theconversation.com/how-our-unconscious-memory-keeps-us-functioning-efficiently-in-our-daily-lives-246763 E: https://theconversation.com/omega-3-can-help-prevent-diabetes-and-cardiovascular-disease-254145 F: https://duckduckgo.com 3. Focus a different tab, such as A (webkit.org) or F (duckduckgo.com), so that it is the last tab Epiphany remembers being active 4. Close Epiphany 5. Launch Epiphany 6. Focus any of tabs C, D, E containing TheConversation's website Result: as seen in the video, that website will never restore-load, the spinner is infinite and no contents are displayed. Workaround: pressing F5, or focusing the addressbar and pressing Enter, to force loading.
