All of our rotation tests expect to be running on a phone with the screen size of a 5s/SE. On iPad, not only do these tests fail, but they timeout.

Do you mean that the rotation test harness is broken on non-5s devices, or that the tests are just written assuming device size?

In the case of iPad, the rotation test harness is definitely broken (the tests timeout). For iPhones, (6s, specifically) it may be that the tests are just written assuming device size.
