TransformationMatrix: mapPoint, mapRect and mapQuad should clamp a point at infinity such as projectPoint If w<0, the point is at infinity. projectPoint clamps such points. mapPoint, mapRect and mapQuad also should do that. TextureMapper has problems due to this bug (bug#244824 and bug#244915 comment#2).
