WebGL Video upload to SRGB8 textures is slow The GPU codepath uses OpenGL to render the texture. SRGB8 is not color-renderable in OpenGL. This should not be a real HW limitation. ANGLE has more fast paths with glCopyTextureCHROMIUM, but a) likely it doesn't do source color space conversions(?) b) it doesn't have x flip c) it's unclear if it does the SRGB8_ALPHA8 the same way as the current
