Created attachment 461070 [details] Safari 16, VOIP with internal microphone cannot capture normal voice volume OS version: MacOS 13 Beta 3 (22A5295i) Safari version: Safari 16.0 (18614.1.19.1.5) issue Description: Join WebEx meeting client using Safari 16.0, audio cannot be captured normally and other user cannot hear voice. Then use WebRTC Sample: https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/getusermedia/volume/ to check audio stream volume, normal Speak voice cannot be capture (the sample display volume is 0.00). And if using very loud voice and near device, the volume can be get, but volume is very small, about is 0.01) (We have recorded one video for recording the case, you can check attachment) BTW:1.In the same machine, Use Chrome/Firefox to test the internal microphone, the audio stream volume is normal. 2.Safari with an external microphone, the audio stream volume is also fine.

the same bug。 if open Otter in Mac Safari(https://otter.ai/),and Start Record,Then Open VoIP APP。VoIP cannot capture my audio, and cannot capture others speak。 Then stop Otter Record,it's OK。Then start Otter Record,not OK。 Open VoIP APP,Then open otter,and Start Record,is same problem。 Other Browser WebApp(like Otter),same problem
@yanzyang, are you still experimenting this issue in the latest macOS release? @wljray, it seems like it might be a different issue. What you seem to experience if two competing apps are using VOIP at the same time. At that point, there is an issue. Is that correct? Which macOS version have you tested? I tried on an internal macOS 13 release, trying to capture audio by Safari and Safari Tech Preview concurrently. This seems to work for me.
What does the "Web Inspector" in the summary signify?
