Crash log 5

Hi,

I recently upgrade to macOS Big Sur 11.0.1, and ever since I installed the OS-specific version of Safari Technology preview, it's crashed again and again. Unfortunately I can discern no pattern in the crashes. They happen when I'm interacting with a site or when the app is sitting idle. I'll attach a few crash logs to see if they're helpful.

Thanks,
Richa

Process killed for having too many RunningBoard assertions.

I think this may have to do with extensions. Disabling extensions may be a viable workaround until we fix this.
Comment 8 ravasthi 2020-11-16 16:39:47 PST
FWIW, I tried a few different combinations of turning on and off extensions, and I think the problem comes from either or both of the 1Password or Okta extensions, likely the former.

Obviously this is one that's pretty important for me to get working, but I can work around it for the time being.

Hope that helps.

Best,
Richa

Thank you for the report! This was determined to be an issue outside WebKit, so marking resolved. This will continue to be investigated by Apple internally.

To be clear, do you see this issue with system Safari too or only Safari Technology Preview?

Only with Safari TP, not vanilla Safari.

Also, quick update on the extension experimentation. I re-enabled Okta and still didn't observe a crash, so I'm pretty sure that the problem has something to do with the 1Password extension.
