In HTML use <input type="eamil"> and try entering sree@sree, it's not throwing error. I think the regex for the email validation is wrong. It is allowing sree@sree as a valid email address. It should throw error if ".com" part is missing. Thanks, Sree

This is a valid email address according to the spec, https://html.spec.whatwg.org/#valid-e-mail-address
