Maybe something like this could be used, to create bugs/patches in bugzilla for recipe updates: https://gitlab.com/BuildStream/infrastructure/gitlab-merge-request-generator/-/tree/master

Another approach could be to build a bot reacting to notifications from https://release-monitoring.org/
