This depends on some of the component model patches.

Foo.prototype = Object.create(HTMLElement.prototype);
HTMLElement.register('x-foo', Foo);

document.querySelector('x-foo').dispatchEvent(new Event('bar'))
throws TypeError: Illegal invocation
