On https://www.artstation.com/guweiz :

* When you scroll down the gallery, and scroll back up, you will notice that some images get "unloaded" and never show up again until you refresh the page.
* Scrolling is janky, not butter-smooth. Somewhat janky scrolling can also be observed on other gallery websites such as https://www.deviantart.com/guweiz/gallery

Observed with Epiphany 43.0 (WebKitGTK 2.38.3) on Fedora 37, with GNOME Xorg session and AMD open source graphics.

Firefox is not affected by these problems.

Is this happening with cookies ("website data storage") disabled or enabled?

Yup, this happens with cookies etc. ("Website data storage") enabled; if they were disabled, the website's images wouldn't load at all in the first place (as I had mentioned in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/issues/1956 ).

So here it loads them, but then unloads them (as seen in the video) for some reason.

Can no longer reproduce on the mentioned website with Gnome Web 44.2 However, while images don't get unloaded on https://www.deviantart.com/guweiz/gallery, which this bug report is about, they do on disney.com and some other sites.

Another site with this problem: https://www.apple.com/ipad-keyboards/. Scroll down to the bottom and back up and all images are unloaded.

It seems https://www.deviantart.com/guweiz/gallery has changed and no longer triggers the bug.

I assume this is a duplicate of bug #271379, though I can't be certain.
