We automatically determine target remote by checking the branch point. Tell the user when we're pikcing a remote that isn't the default remote (usually 'origin'). If we're picking something other than the default remote and we're on the default branch, there is a good chance something has gone wrong, log a longer error message explaining what's going on and include a likely remedy for the issue.
