UNICODE U+25B8 has a problem.

When &blacktriangleright stands with &blacktriangleft together, it looks normal.

But &blacktriangleright stands alone, the &blacktriangleright's appearance looks vertically compressed.

To isolate a bit more.
data:text/html,<!doctype%20html><meta%20charset="utf-8"><p>◂%20▸</p>

Safari: Times, different sizes
Firefox: STIXGeneral, different sizes,
Chrome: Menlo, same size 

If I set Menlo for Safari, it shows the same size.

It depends on the fonts being used.
I don't think there is anything to do here.
