Strangely enough the bug doesn't happen in an old Mac El Capitan 10.11.6 with Safari version 9.1.2 (11601.7.7)

Note: on Badwolf the flickering happens also scrolling by the arrow keys. The only way to scroll smoothly is by the mouse and the scrollbars..

A couple of details more. I'm experiencing the problem on:

badwolf-1.2.2p0

And also on:

midori-9.0p0

that both depend on:

webkitgtk4-2.36.3

Same OpenBSD machine and.. with Firefox and Chromium is all OK.
