Setting up a basic peer connection does not work properly in Safari 15.5.
The steps to reproduce this bug are:
1. Open https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/peerconnection/pc1/
2. Click the "Start" button, allow microphone and camera access when prompted, then press the "Call" button'
3. Observe that the remote video element is a black screen. The remote video is paused and has no video or audio playing.
Note that playing the video element does not fix the black screen.
Able to reproduce with iOS 15.5 beta. Unable to reproduce with iOS 15.4.

I had a try and it works fine for me in my iPhone.
Can you provide more details about your config and/or a sysdiagnose (youenn@apple.com?).
