Status: RESOLVED DUPLICATE
Severity: Major CC: ysuzuki

Description Eric Portis 2021-01-20 11:31:53 PST
Some WebP images that worked on 14.0.1 on both Big Sur and iOS are broken on 14.0.2.

Test page: https://codepen.io/eeeps/pen/GRjLRrV

14.0.2
Big Sur screenshot: https://o.img.rodeo/14.0.2-webp/Screen_Shot_2021-01-20_at_10.20.36_AM.png
(left WebP fails, right WebP succeeds)
iOS 14.3 screenshot: https://o.img.rodeo/14.0.2-webp/IMG_4A1C1C0C29B3-1.jpg
(ditto)

14.0.1
Big Sur screenshot (via Browserstack...): https://o.img.rodeo/14.0.2-webp/Screen_Shot_2021-01-20_at_11.28.17_AM.png
(both images succeed)

Here's another test page for what seems like the same issue, and an associated support ticket for Cloudflare:

https://community.cloudflare.com/t/fully-transparent-png-file-that-was-converted-webp-format-desnt-work-on-safari-14-0-2/231297)

This appears to be affecting some (not all) WebPs generated from both Cloudflare and Cloudinary.
