Can you attach a sample extension project? I've emailed the originator. Response was: I resize the canvas to 0x0, and seem to fix the problem. the web extension process memory decrease evidently,when close the canvas tab. But that seems like the problem is still there. I'll have to make a safari extension that opens up a tab with a canvas. I've confirmed that the WebContent process for the created tab doesn't go away when the tab is closed. It will go away when enough new tabs are created, but since you can't get back to a closed tab this does have the potential to hold onto memory for a while. This is not a WebKit bug however, so I'll close this. It will be tracked by the radar linked above. |
