To reproduce this bug:
1. In Safari, with default font settings, on a Mac with a Retina display, navigate to the URL

Result:
The insertion point appears at the beginning of the text field, but it’s too thin.

Notes:
This only impacts the insertion point when it’s at the beginning of the field. Whether it happens or not depends on the text before the field, presumably because of its non-integral width.
