Description Simon Fraser (smfr) 2020-05-14 11:14:20 PDT
WebKit's rendering of the text on http://svg-wow.org/buffered-rendering/bokeh.html differs from Chrome and Firefox; the text lacks the 3d effect.

Looks like the depth effect is from all the <use> elements.

Safari Technical Preview 151 fixed the issue

It is reproducible in Safari 15.6 but as can be seen from Safari Technical Preview 151, it is now fixed and all browsers match in 3d depth. Thanks!

Just for future reference - it might be fixed in STP 151 due this commit:

https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit/commit/72c9014cf9262c2994b15118e00cdd75561e5da2

Not confirmed but it responsibly close bug dealing with <text> issue within SVG. Thanks!
