The example found here https://w3c.github.io/aria-practices/examples/slider/slider-1.html Is not operable in latest Safari using VoiceOver. Specifically the slider knob cannot be moved left or right using described controls (control-option-left, control-option-right). The slider can be moved using expected controls in Edge, Chrome, and Firefox latest.
