Summary:
Move docking buttons to the TabBar. When docked, add a close button (X) immediately before the first normal tab. The button/tab order should be (left to right):
- Close button (docked only)
- Normal tabs (Elements, Network, etc)
- Tab picker (>>)
- Search
- Settings
Docked:
- Undock
- Dock opposite
Undocked:
- Dock side
- Dock bottom

I personally like the approach taken by Chrome, in that it has a vertical ellipsis menu with the dock options. Having two separate buttons for docking state seems wasteful. Personally, I so very rarely switch from dock-right to something else, so I'd prefer having more space for the tabs or other buttons (like the element picker perhaps).
