It is not possible, to click on a link, embedded in an Image (Hotspot) directly. Only if you do a right-click and open in new tab or window, but the icon changes form a normal cursor to a hand.
And hover effect images do not work either.

I am able to click on the image in the URL (http://www.illsoundz.de/) to get to the next page using a local debug build of WebKit r24089 with Safari 3.0 (522.12) on Mac OS X 10.4.10 (8R218).
Reporter, could you provide more explicit instructions on how to reproduce this bug, or a reduced test case? Thanks!

I was using the buildr24002 from Webkit. I downloaded the newer r24064 and now it works.
So it seems that the problem has been solved.
