None of the modifier keys fire any key events. This includes:
* Alt
* Shift
* Control
* Meta
FireFox fires keydown and keyup
Opera fires keydown, keypress (not repeated) and keyup
IE 6/7 fires keydown and keyup
I think WebKit should fire at least keydown and keyup event.
I'm not sure about keypress.

Fixed in r27372 by Oliver (we do not fire keypress).
